Winding roads to an accessible part of Monongahela National Forest. Remnants of the extensive network of roads and trails necessary to harvest timber in the late 1800's and early 1900's can still be seen. The area is surrounded by lush forest and impeccable views of valleys and hills. We have enjoyed every aspect of West Virginia in it's fall glory. The drive is probably not for the faint of heart and 4 wheel drive would be helpful, but it is well worth the trip.
