I really only listen to 1-7 from this album. I've never been a fan of beats, but I agree with you 1-7 are the best songs, anything below that is where it starts to drop in quality, New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. This song is like the overture of Neotheater, mainly because I think it captures everything Neotheater is, in the sense that it's not the click.

The loud chorus really makes for an amazing song. Lot of respect for you for giving your list with in-depth reasons. All of the Office references may get in the way of the song’s message for some, but I see them as a metaphor that builds on to an emotional song that gets tears out of me, every time, with the same line each time (For those of you wondering, it’s “I watched my mom, she cried and held her kids.”). Says here that you’ve listened to No Grass Today by AJR 99999999999999 times! It’s still a bop, just not as much of a bop as I think I remembered. Finale (Can’t Wait To See What You Do Next). 114.

The verses, the production, the pre-chorus, the chorus, the bridge, everything is so far above average. I agree with a lot of your points, though I may have ranked the songs differently haha. Unlike Neotheater, I think the quality of the songs on this album drops off much quicker, and this is the first song I think slips below a B grade on the album.

Bud Like you holds a special place in my heart: every time I hear it I think of my buddies and I out driving around past sunlight. Follow for news, pictures, and other interesting content. The message of having something to fall back on in difficult times, be it friends, music, or in their case, The Office, is particularly touching and may just be their best message to date. This song was always going to be #1, it is my favorite AJR song and it has been for some time. This song is a freaking fantastic introspective song. ii obviously, just wanted to share my thoughts on the album.


(A-), This song, considering it’s just mostly a mashup of all the other songs, is fantastic. (C+), This song has certainly fallen down the list. ii from Neotheater, and I have higher praise for this song. tl;dr, I really really like turning out pt. This song isn't bad, I think it's borderline good, but it did bore me a bit.

This song relates to me more so than any other song on the album that doesn’t start with the word Netflix or Turning. u/nfthunder. It’s still a very good song, and I thoroughly enjoy it, but it feels hard to relate to and hard to put above the more emotional and relatable ones on the album (Drama’s relatability is the only thing keeping it above this song.) The chorus isn't as amazing to me as their other songs, but I really love the bridge when the song hits its climax and Jack begins to pour his heart out … It’s probably in my top 10 if not too 5. AJR.
Keep in mind these thoughts are just my opinion; You're free to love Beats and hate Turning Out pt. Another political-ish song, but this one just doesn’t work. Not much an objective list, so please be respectful :) The Green and the Town. Karma's got a lot of really good moments in it, overall one of their more upbeat songs despite the fact that the lyrics are a little darker than the majority. Though Jack wanting to be a virgin again makes me think Rivers Cuomo rubbed off on him a bit too much since Sober Up. Come Hang Out. The chorus is so good, the pre-chorus is so good, the verses are so good, and the outro with the callback to Overture is one of the best closes to an album – ever.

(A++), An acoustic song at #4. (B), I originally had this song much higher, but I think the more I listened to it, it began to felt forced, and I never liked the chorus, lyrics-wise or production-wise.
